A Camp Where Kids Feel Comfortable in their Own Skin

About Camp Braveskin April 21-23, 2017

Camp Braveskin, formerly known as Camp Ganega, is a non-profit recreational camp uniquely created for children with various skin disorders. We welcome new campers each year.

The camp was estabished in 2003 for children and adolescents with chronic skin conditions as a joint effort of two pediatric dermatologists, Dr. Robin Carder and Dr. Fred Ghali.

The project has now grown and involvement includes many other local dermatologists, residents, nurses/medical assistants, and pharmaceutical representatives.

Our camp has equipped cabins for the children to sleep in, and a dining hall for meals. The camp has an excellent staff that plans and supervises various activities.

Cost and Funding
Camp Braveskin is a non-profit 501(c) organization that provides an exceptional experience for children with chronic skin conditions. In order to sustain this camp at 'no-charge' to the patients, we rely solely on donations from the community. In the past, we received much of our support from the pharmaceutical industry, but more recently, we depend upon donations from individuals, fellow physicians, and others from the community who willing to give to a worthwhile cause.
